PREVIEW PERIOD NOTICE
These rules apply to KLAVO's FREE-ENTRY contests during the preview period. No entry fee is collected. No payment information is required. KLAVO has not yet completed outside-counsel review of these pages; updated final-form versions will be published before any paid contest opens.
KLAVO Privacy Policy — Free-Preview Period
This Privacy Policy describes how KLAVO (operated by NorthFork Funding, Inc., a Wyoming corporation) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Site at klavo.co or enter a KLAVO contest. KLAVO is committed to clear, minimal data practices.
1. Information KLAVO collects
During the Preview Period, KLAVO collects only the following information at entry: (a) your name, (b) your email address, (c) your U.S. state of residency, and (d) your quiz answers, score, and completion time. KLAVO does NOT collect payment information during the Preview Period. KLAVO may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) for security and operational purposes.
2. How KLAVO uses information
KLAVO uses your information to: (a) operate the contest you entered (scoring, winner identification, prize fulfillment), (b) communicate with you about the current and future contests (transactional and opt-in marketing emails), (c) comply with legal obligations (e.g., 1099-MISC reporting for qualifying prize values), (d) detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
3. Data processors KLAVO uses
KLAVO uses the following service providers to operate the Service:
Shopify (e-commerce platform) — stores entry records and powers transactional emails
Riddle Technologies GmbH (riddle.com) — quiz-engine and lead-capture processor for the KLAVO contest quiz. Data captured: name, email address, U.S. state of residence, quiz score (0–10), and quiz completion time (milliseconds). Processed in the EU under GDPR standards; Riddle's privacy policy at https://www.riddle.com/privacy.
Google Workspace — email delivery (phil@klavo.co, support@klavo.co)
Cloudflare or equivalent — DNS and traffic infrastructure
KLAVO may add or change processors over time. Material changes will be reflected in updated versions of this Policy. KLAVO does not sell personal information to third parties.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain session state, prevent abuse, and improve performance. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; some Site functionality may be limited as a result.
5. Data retention
KLAVO retains entry information for the duration necessary to operate the contest, fulfill prizes, comply with tax reporting (typically 7 years for tax records), and address any disputes. Email addresses associated with opted-in marketing are retained until the recipient unsubscribes.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to: (a) request access to the personal information KLAVO holds about you, (b) request correction of inaccurate information, (c) request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention obligations), (d) opt out of marketing communications (every email includes an unsubscribe link), (e) object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@klavo.co with "Privacy Request" in the subject line.
7. Children
KLAVO Services are intended for users aged 18 and older. KLAVO does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe KLAVO has collected information from a minor, please contact support@klavo.co.
8. Security
KLAVO uses commercially reasonable measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. KLAVO will notify affected users of any data breach in accordance with applicable law.
9. International users
KLAVO Services are intended for U.S. residents only. If you are accessing the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from your home jurisdiction.
10. Changes to this Policy
KLAVO may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in a revised effective date at the top of this Policy. Updated final-form Privacy Policy will be published before any paid contest opens.
